As of April 19, 2022, the FCC will collect from you a $35 fee for a new, renewal, or vanity callsign application. Upgrades to an existing license does not have a fee. This is separate from the $15 exam fee collected at the session and is done directly with the FCC. They will send you an email when your application is processed that includes a link for payment. You then have 10 days to pay the fee. After you pay the fee your license will be issued after processing.
