Lots of radio and computer related items are available for sale and/or trade. If you have any questions, please email swapmeet@mikeandkey.org.

VE Testing session information

Puyallup Exam Session

We will be doing 2 ARRL/VEC authorized exam sessions at the Mike and Key Swap Meet on 8-Mar-2025. One will be at 9:30AM, and the other will be at 11:15AM.

You must pre-register online for either session: https://ham.study/sessions/ag7t. We ask that you do not register for both sessions.

You also must have an individual FRN issued by the FCC to register. If you don’t have one, get one at https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/coresWeb/publicHome.do

Our exam sessions use online software, the link to the privacy policy for that software is on the bottom of every page on https://ham.study.

Date: Saturday, 8-Mar-2025

Times: Check-In to take exams if you registered for the first session: 9:30AM Check-in to take exams if you registered for the second session: 11:15AM Limit of 20 examinees per session

Location: Puyallup Fair Grounds (Wasington State Fair address on the registration page),

We don’t have a committed location within the fairgrounds yet. Look for signs at the Gold Gate saying where the sessions will be held.

Fee: $15 (covers 1 try at each exam element), No retests for failed element. Please bring exact change to the session, it helps keep check-ins short.

You do not need to pay for a swap meet ticket if you are not attending the swap meet. Just enter at the 'Gold Gate' and say you are heading to the VE exams.

Government Issued Photo ID Required.

(Parents should accompany anyone 18 years old and younger that cannot meet this requirement. In cases where the student doesn’t have any photo ID, the parent will need to bring a birth certificate (electronic or picture ok) for the student per the ARRL/VEC guidance [http://www.arrl.org/what-to-bring-to-an-exam-session].

Parent of someone under 13 always needs to accompany the child and must submit a COPPA form to exam.tools before registering, link to the form is on the first page during the online registration process.)
